Services

I provide individual psychotherapy for adults seeking support with emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Sessions are available in person at my office in Williamsburg and online for individuals located anywhere in New York State, including Long Island.

Gambling & Substance Use: I work with individuals at all stages of recovery, including those who are unsure whether they want—or are ready—to stop gambling or using substances. Many people feel conflicted: part of them wants change, while another part relies on these behaviors to manage stress, emotion, or connection. Rather than focusing solely on stopping behaviors, our work centers on understanding the emotional and situational contexts in which they occur. We explore what these behaviors provide, how urges develop, and what makes them harder to resist at certain moments. As awareness grows, many people begin to experience a greater sense of agency, allowing for choice rather than compulsion.

Anxiety: I treat a wide range of anxiety-related concerns, including chronic worry, social anxiety, and obsessive or repetitive thought patterns. Anxiety can show up in many ways—overthinking decisions, replaying conversations, avoiding situations, or feeling uneasy even when there’s no clear reason why. Our work focuses on understanding both the immediate symptoms and the underlying emotional and relational patterns that sustain it over time. As this understanding develops, anxiety tends to feel less overwhelming, and responses become more intentional and less reactive.

Relationship Issues: I help individuals navigate challenges in relationships with romantic partners, family members, and friends. Many people find themselves withdrawing during conflict, struggling to express their needs, or caught in repeated misunderstandings. In therapy, we examine communication styles, boundaries, and longstanding relational dynamics—often shaped by earlier experiences—that continue to influence current relationships. With greater clarity, relationships often feel less confusing and more manageable, and interactions become more deliberate and less automatic.
